About BeginHer

Empowering women to overcome Financial Inertia and building Lasting Wealth

Our Mission

We're targeting the inertia of getting started - not just financial literacy. We help women who know what they want to begin their financial journey but struggle to take the first crucial step.

Breaking the Paradox

Early career is the perfect time to start investing, yet it's the age group that receives the least help. We're told we're "too early" or don't make enough for professional financial advice.

We bridge this gap by helping women overcome the inertia of making financial decisions and moving closer to financial independence.

Building Healthy Money Relationships

We help women develop a positive, empowering relationship with money that lasts a lifetime.

Our Guiding Principle

"Mulgi shikli tarakki jhali"

"If a woman gets educated, there is progress"

This Maharashtrian saying captures our core belief - when a woman grows, she takes her entire community up with her. Financial empowerment creates ripple effects that benefit families and communities for generations.

A Story That Inspired Us

Usha Mallya, a financial advisor, had been helping countless women achieve financial independence. Her maid had been silently observing these conversations and finally gathered the courage to ask what she could do with her meager salary.

Usha suggested starting a SIP. The maid followed her instructions and watched her wealth grow. As soon as her children started earning, she brought them to Usha to begin their investment journey too.

This story perfectly exemplifies our motto - one woman's financial education created a ripple effect that empowered an entire family.

Why Women?

Left Behind

Women are often set aside when it comes to financial literacy and decision-making.

Caught Up

We get caught up in other responsibilities and priorities, pushing financial planning aside.

Uncomfortable Asking

It becomes uncomfortable or embarrassing to ask for help regarding finances later in life.
